Letting Go Part 1

I can hear my alarm ringing from a distance,
Drawing me out of my dreamy sleep
I reach under my pillow to put it off
And slowly I drift back into the dream.

I’m sitting alone admiring the early sunrise,
I tilt my head back and I close my eyes
A gentle breeze touches my face
I’m enjoying the quietness of God’s Peace.

As the sun comes up and begins a new day
I think of you and quietly I start to Pray
Dear Lord, I begin to say…
Please watch over him and keep him safe

Bless him so much that he might bless others
Open the eyes of his understanding
Give him wisdom, give him inspiration
Guide his path and show him faith

Fill him with love that conquers all fears
Grant him all that his heart desires
Dear Lord, please be with him forever
Slowly I open my eyes as I whisper a soft Amen…
